I am a qualified Fitness Instructor and Nordic Walking Instructor, and I have been working in the fitness industry for over 20 years.
I have experience with clients referred by their GP, teaching a variety of fitness classes as well as working in a gym. I am a trained Functional Ageing and Chair-based Exercise instructor and have completed workshops in Learning Disability in Sport and Mental Health and Well-being. I have become a Dementia Friend as part of an initiative by the Alzheimer’s Society.
I have been working as a Living Well Mentor since March 2020 and in that role I have supported clients to make positive lifestyle changes with them saying they feel more positive, motivated with a clearer head and improved health and wellbeing. They are looking at things differently with the support to make small, easy changes.
I have always enjoyed keeping in shape, and I love inspiring others to adopt a healthier lifestyle and I find it extremely rewarding seeing the positive impact it has on their lives. Do you need support to make changes to get a good routine for eating well, moving more and sleeping well?
